A SAD END.
(By Tclejrranb.—SDccial CorrciDondenU Masterton, December 0. Prideaux Francis 'fancied, well known in sporting circle"-, was tound dead at li o'clock this evening. He was hanging by (ho nock to a bed-post. Deceased, who was about CO years of ago, had liccii suffering from internal disease for some time, and had latterly been despondent. He lived for tnatiy years in Wnirarajm, and afterwards in Wellington, lie came to Masterton only a few months ago, and was under medical treatment. 'Jlie laic Mr. Tancred -was one of the bestknown sporting men in the Dominion. Years ago he owned Administrator and other well-known performers, and more recently Penatw. He was a single man, and a son of the late Sir I'. Tancred and Lady lancred.
