WILL THERE BE A STRIKE?
ACTION BT TITE AUCKLAND UNION. (By Tole«rrai>b.--Prc.v« A«Baeln.tl<vn.l Auckland, December 6. A tram strike in Auckland before tho Christmas holidays seems probable. The union to-night rejected the proposals of tho company in almost all details, and resolved as follows;—
"This union has decided to give tho licccssary 11 days' notice under the Act to cease work, unless a satisfactory settlement is agreed to in the meantime, provided that such stoppage shall not take place unless the consent of the Executive of the Federation of Labour bo obtained."
