NAPIER WOOL SALES.
SUCCESSFUL RESULTS. At the Napier -wool sales last, w.eek prices exceeded sellers' expectations, in some cases to the,extent of 2d. per lb. Ton price of .the sale was reached for 19 bales halfbred solci on aceount of the estate of the late W. H. Small, '-Fernside, Otanc, which realised lljd. per lb. The following clips al>o sold well, viz..— Mr. G. IJ. Beamish, Whana Whana, fino crossbred, to 10}<!.; Mr. A. IJobottom, Otane, fine crossbred, to 10d.; Mr. A. A. Small, Okuhu, fine, crossbred, to lOJtl. The whole of tbeso clips were dipped in White's dip. Tho maker of this prepaiMtion does not claim that the above successful results were directly and totally attributable to the fact that White's dip was u-sed ou the flocks. Mr. J. H. SeHars, the ' well-known Berkshire pig fancier of Okaian-a, who won • several first prizes and the cham-pionships-with a-fine sow, has sent thi.v champion, together with another prizewinner, across to Sydney, through the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., to compete at the Sydney Royal Metropolitan Show.
