KIXEMACOLOR PICTURES. Much interest is being shown in th« newly-invouted kinemacolor pictures at present being shown at the Theatre Royal under the direction of Messrs. Fuller and Sons. Inasmuch as the production of pictures in natural colours is tho latest, nnd greatest achievement recorded in the development of tho kinematogrnphic art, it is safe- to assume that the kinemacolor will givo a fillip to the picture business in this as in other parts of the world. Tho pictures shown last evening included some very beautiful scenes in Venice, tho evolution of flowers of various kinds from the bud to full bloom i tho investiture of tho I'riuco of Walts at Carnarvon, and a great storm scene, nt Tencriffo. Tho programme, also includes a big vnrietv of new kinematograph pictures from the best-known studios.
THE NEW THEATRE. "Tho best programme for weeks" is tho opinion of regular patrons of tho new programme of moving pictures presented at flic New Theatre Inst evening. A vcri-. table army of men are engaged in the new picture entitled "Tho Drummer of Austcrlitz," in which the commanding figure of Napoleon is introduced with excellent dramatic effect. It concerns tho enlisting of a bold youngster as a drummer in the French army shortly before ono of Bonaparte's scries of brilliant victories. Of the right, mettle, (ho liid thrives on the smell of gunpowder, and. when- the French storm the redoubt of Austerlitz (vide the picture), tho lad.is mvu rattling the, drum well in tho lead. When honours nra dispensed' by Napoleon after the action, th<s boy is accounted too young for a modal, but when ajrajn he is found ninons tho foremost at Wαwain, N'apoleo-i himself plucks the cross from his own breast, nnd pins it to the boy's swelling chost. "A Squaw's Love"
