OTAKI.
MR. ROBERTSON AT SHANNON. A largo and enthusiastic'meeting was addressed by Mr. 3. Robertson, Labour candidate, m the Druids' Ilall, Shannon, on Saturday night. Mr. Thos. Liiul occupied the chair. The candidate's speech was devoted mainly to replying to tlio questions asked by tho New Zealand Executive of the Fanners' Union. Ho spoke at considerable length on the question of land tenure. At the conclusion of tho address, a vote of thanks and confidence, moved by Mr. J. 0. Barclay and tap ported by Mr. Eastwood, was carried by acclamation unanimously. There was no I amendment aud no dissentient voices. J hrco cheers were accorded tho -nodidate at tho conclusion of tho meeting.
