A procession ot' ton thousand, with banners inscribed "Death or Independence," visited t'lio British, American, aiul French legations'. Speeches were delivered appealing to the spirit of justico and liberty. Three prominent reactionaries wero assassinated on Saturday, Sijsahder'a life was attempted on Sunday. Two thousand Russian troops aro thirty miles southward of Kesht; two hundred arrived at Kazoin and four hundred aro near Teheran. The Russians disarmed tho Persian militia at Kcsht and occupied the telegraph office. The late AJa-ed-Aowleh intermediary between Russia, Britain, and Persia persuaded Persia to comply to tho first ultimatum. The reply to the second asks for a. renewal of the negotiations with a view of conceding what was reasonable. ANGRY DENIAL. BY MR. MORGAN SHUSTER. Mr. Morgan Shuster, financial adviser to tho Persian Government, angrily denies Sir Edward Grey's statement that ho is annoying Russia by Anglicising tho Persian Service. Ho has dismissed several British officials. Tho United States Government has taken steps to ensure Mr. Shuster's protection. .
