SENSATION IN AUSTRIA.
- CHIEF OF GENERAL STAFF RETIRES. By Tv^srasb—Press Association—Conrrlght Vienna, December 3. A sensation has been caused by tho retirement of Baron Conrad von Hoctzendorf, Chief of the General Staff, owing to differences with Count von Aerentliul, Foreign Minister. General von Hoetzendorf voiced the military demand for war preparation on the Italian frontier, a suggestion that Count von Aercnthal would not entertain.
