$ TEADES UNION PROTEST. By Tekeranh-Press Aesociation-OopyriEhl London, December 1. The General Federation of Trades Unions has strongly protested against separate administration of the proposed insurance system in Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. The leaders fear such administration would mean tho disintegration of trade unionism by encouraging the Scottish and Welsh committees to insist oil controlling their own business. The doctors declare that Mr. LloydGeorgo's proffered amendments to the National Insurance Bill are utterly inadequate. 528,000 PROTESTS. London, December 1. Fiva hundred and twenty-eight thousand protests against the National Insurance Bill havo reached members of the House of Commons, HOSPITAL AFFECTED. (Eec. December 3, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 2. A conference of delegates from two hundred hospitals carried a resolution to the effect that tho existing treatment cannot be maintained if the income of the hospitals is diminished through tha Insurance Bill.
Sir Henry Burdett estimates that the voluntary hospitals will lose half their incomes. LOEDS WILL PASS THE BILL. (Rec. December 3, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 2. The newspapers indicate, that the House of Lords will pass the Insurance Bill without amendment, thus declining to accept responsibility for the details.
