The match M.C.C. eleven versus Queensland was begun to-day in hot weather. Tho wicket was good. Queensland batted first, and wcro all out for 290 runs. So far, M.C.C. has lost two wickefs for G2 runs. Tho attendance numbered 5000. The pioneer batsmen for Queensland opened splendidly, and looked liko putting up a big score. l''cnuelly and Jennings put on G3 for tho first wicket, whilo tho third-wicket partnership between .Jennings and Ilartigan added anothor 90 runs. Both wero brilliant, and scored rapidly. When tho fifth wicket l'cll 202 was on tho board, but the remainder only added 88 runs.
