ELSIE HOLLAND'S DEATH.
ALLEGED ACCESSORIES ON TRIAL. (By TclccraDh.—Press Association.! Auckland, November 30. When, on Wednesday evening, tho jury empanelled to try ilvs. Martha Jane O'Shaugluiessy on a cbargo of the murder of Elsin Alexandra Holland, found her guilty of imuistatighter, with a strong recommendation to mercy on the ground of the suspense which she had undergone during previous trials, the question arose as (o when her husband (James Edward O'ShaugluiKST), Mrs. Charlotte Campbell, and Mr-. Mary Ilasscll, who were charged with 1> iug accessories after tho fact, should bo brought up for trial. .Mr Justice Chapman, who presided, said that it was absolutely necessary that the case should be heard this week. Otherwise, the, administration of justioo would fall into confusion, and the charges were therefore taken this moruing. When th? c'.isc was called, James Edward O'Shaugluiessy surrendered to his bail, but neither Mrs. Campbell nor Mrs. liassell made any answer when called. It was then intimated to his Honour Hint the two female prisoners who had been on bait were missing, and his Him.' our, having ordered their immediate arrcst, adjourned the Court until eleven o'clock. By that time, the two women had boon found. Tho case was I hen proceeded with, and, niter a quantity of evidence had been given in support of tho caso for the Crown, further hearing was adjourned until to-morrow.
