SMUGGLING ORIENTALS.
1> .— By Teleerapb-Press Assoclatlon-Copyrlent (Rec. November 29, 11.50 p.m.) San Francisco, November 23. An effort is being made by tho Federal authorities to stamp out the smuggling of Orientals across tho Mexican border. The captain and engineer of a launch were arrested at Salinas, and were accused of aiding 20 Chinese to gain unlawful admission into the United States.
