Messrs. Dalcety and Co., Ltd.. report havin? held a dispersal sale of sheep on account of Mr. J. S. Field. Ohariu, yesterday. There was a large attendance of buyers. inehidine sdveral from the Manawatu and comnetition for nil classes was very keen. The sheep, which were all shorn, wero :n excellent condition, aud the auctioneers rniwrt having uinde a total clearance at tbe following prices:—Four and six-todth ewes-with lambs, 16s. 7d.; six,tooth to f.tn., ewes, with Ifimbs, l(«. 2d. to 155.: foiir arid six-tooth wethers, tzs. 6d.; two'tooth wethers, lis. 4d.; two-tooth ewos. l?s.'3d.; forward dry ewes.' 12.C: fat ewr»s and wethcrft (mixed), 12s. (By Telcgraph—Pres'? Association.) Dunedin, November SB. At Burnsidc to-day 215 fat cattle were yarded, the fjuality in the majority of cases beiliß pood. At the commencement of the sale, the competition was fair, but prices afterwards enScd to the extent, of 10s. per linid. Best bullocks. £11 lfc. to £!.i Zs. 6r1.; extra, to £17 2s. (id.; medium. £9 15?. to £10 10s.; inferior, £8 to £8 10s.; best cows and heifei's. £9 to £10 5?.; extra, £11 15<.; medium, £7 IDs. to £0 ICs.; inferior, £6 to £6 10s. Fat sheep: There was a. medium yarding. 2178 beinu penned, and with few exceptions quality was not as jrood as that of previous weeks; competition for prime wethers was s:ood. but medium and inferior sorts showed a decline of 6d. to 9d. per head. Best wethers, 245. to 25?., extra 285.. medium 10s. lo 21s: 6d., iuferior 18s. tn 195.: best ewes, 22?. lo 245.. medium 18s. 6d. to 19s. 6d., inferior 16s. to 17s. Fat lambs: 4«50 were penned, and owing to the larjre yarding priccs dcclincd 6d. to ts. per head.
