The authorities have ordered the expulsion of tho Chinese women fo-collcd eyedoctors, owing to ii hundred blind patients sleeping in tho streets about tho women's hotel. Hugh crowds protested to tho authorities and they ordered thn police to kidnap tbe women, ivhcn a riot, resulted. Tho .Republican Guards were stoned, shots were exchanged, and a, bomb exploded. Tho troops charged with drawn swords and the horses trod down many scores who wero taken to the Hospital. Tho rioters invaded the San .foso Hospital and endeavoured to prevent tho doctors from attending the wounded.
