MR. BOLTON AND HIS OPPONENTS.

|-To the Editor.] Sir,—l notice that in a leaderette of this morning you attribute to myself an<l my supporters some attempt to disturb some of the Opposition candidate's meetings. I desire to give this a most emphatic denial so far as both my Executive Committee and T are concerned. All that has ever been done is the putting of two or three political, questions, which the candidate in question has omitted to fully deal with in his iddresses. No attempt has ever been made with the knowledge or consent of either my committee or myself to interfere, by interjection or otherwise, with any candidate's meetings. If the complaint is that the Opposition candidate's meetings are not unanimous, there is a very simple remedy,, viz., that his meetings should be convened for supporters only, and then everything in the garden would be lovelv. As Ifeel sure that you will appreciate that I cannot control all tlie people in the electorate opposed to Dr. Newman, I shall be glad if you will give this equal publicity with your leaderette on tho subject.—l am, etc., November 25. J,L,_„ F. G. BOLTON. rWe are pleased to have Mr. .Bolton's assurance that neither he nor his committee authorised the attempts which have been made to disturb his opponent s meetings. No doubt it was merely a coincidence that after making themselves objectionable at one of his opponents meetings some of the noisy fellows were «ech in Mr. Bslton's company.]
