AND HOW THEY MAY FARE. (By Tclceraoii.-Press Association.) Auckland, November 21. In tho Supremo Court, a lad named Charles Berry Simmons, found guilty in connection with the bponiiift of a lovo letter in the post oliico at Hikuraugi, was brought up for sentence. Mr. Justico Edwards said tho disclosing of private correspondence in this way was a very serious ofl'onco. Ho could not at present see his way to do anything but inflict a severe punishment, but ho would take further time to consider tho matter. William Henderson, another lad found guilty of destroying medical circulars sent through tho post, and not claimed, was ordered to como up for sentenco when called upon, and pay ,£l2 towards tho costs of tho prosecution. Scutenco on Joel Rowley, for having opened a letter at Hikurangi Post Office, was deferred.
