WRECK OF PORT STEPHENS

THE COURTS FINDING. By Teleeraph-Press Aesociation-Copyrlent (Rcc. November 24, 9.D3 p.m.) Sydney, November 24. Tho Nautical Court found that the stranding of the steamer Port Stephens on November 5 was due to the master, Captain Stephens, leaving the bridge whilo in charge, when the vessel was closo to land. The Court deals irith his certificate on Monday. The Port Stephens was wrecked at Noah Head, and was abandoned to the Tinderwriters. The captain stated that everything was all right when he went into his cabin for a few minutes to put On his coat. He was watching the man at the wheel through the open do6r, and almost immediately felt a bump. The morning was clear and bright.
