MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) CLAIM THAT FAILED. LAND SALE ACROSS HARBOUR. Judgment was delivered in the ca.se in which Haroourt and Co. had sued the Wellington Steam Ferries Company for £S 10s. as commission diie on the sale of a property at Day's Bay. Mr. J. C. Peacock had appeared for the plaintiffs, aud'Mr. R. M. Watson for the defendants. The claim had been disputed on the ground that Haroourt and Co. were not instrumental in selling the property. _ ; His Worship held that the plaintiffs had not proved their case, and he. gave judgment for the .defendants.
