MONTHLY MEETING,
Tho monthly meeting of tho Welling lon Harbour J3nar<l whs liclil lajd night. Thoro were present Messrs. 11. Fletcher (chairman), *C. I'. Daniolls, J. 0. Ilark-nc-s, A. Macfarlanc, J. Cobbo, I'. C. I'Vecth, ]i. C. Rciinei', and C. \V. Jones, Tlio chairman reported that the electric travelling cranes in the J Wool Ston> were now erected and put in service, and that (hey wore working satisfactorily. The additions to Mirmnar Wharf were now completed." Tenders had been called for the contract for the extension of Jcrvoia CJuay staging and additions to the Tnru. naki Street Wharf, tlio tenders to closa on December 20.
On the recommendation of t.bo Wharves and Accounts Committee, it was decided (o affix (ho soal to the memorandum oil transfer in connection with tlio rectification of the board's and the Wellington Gas Company's land at Miramnr, and to affix the fioal to forms, of consent to leases f)'om Wellington City' Corporation to tlio Wellington Navals' Boating Society, and the trustees of the Star Boating Club ro .vpcctively.
Ihe chairman reported that the actuary n report on superannuation had been brought beforo tile committee, but the committee was still waiting lor further information regarding men who had been in the service prior to 1908. It was expectedthat the matter would conic lieforo the Wharves and Accounts Committee at its next, meeting, and that the committco would submit'-a recommendation that the board deal with tlio matter. Tho chairman also reported' that tlio board had recently had all its properties revalued. Tho valuations showed an increase of JCfl3,322,'after making full allowance foi all possiblo depreciation and writings-olf.
