SEVERE EARTHQUAKE.
FELT IN CENTRAL EUROPE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrljhl London, November 17.' An earthqnakc was felt in Vienna and Milan and the Rhine Valley. Tho inhabitants of Stuttgart and Frankfort, Germany, rushed into tho streets. A number of houses wero cracked and the telephone systems damaged. THEATRE AUDIENCES FLEE. Berlin, November 17. Reports- have been received of panics and damage caused by tho earthquake throughout Central Europe. Shocks were felt in Belgium and France. Audiences and actors at Mulhouse, Augsburg, Stuttgart, and other German towns fled from the theatres. Many passed the night in tho open squares. The Hohenzollern Castle at Hetchingen was badly damaged; also many churches. IN EASTERN FRANCE. (Rec. November 19, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, November 18. The earthquake was severe in Eastern France, but tho darnngo was not serious. COLOSSAL FIGURE DISPLACED. Berlin, November 18. The eurtliquako at Constance threw into the street tho colossal figure of Gcrmania surmounting the post office. It was particularly violent at Wurlemberg and Ebingin. Hundreds are camping round tiros in tho open country.
