« Tho Onslow Borough Council mot last night. There wore- present Messrs. F. Holdsworth (Mavor), Councillors G. W. Darvall, Aplin, jun., C. M'Arthur, 1). S. Stafford, B. Lyuneberg, J. C. Gardner, W. H. Bowdeu", and F. Bates.
Councillor Lynneberg moved tliat tho Health Department should bo written to asking for any information the Department might lx> ablo to give as to what machinery or preparation the Department would advi&a for reducing smell nuisance to a minimum. The motion was carried.
The. question of securins a borough bathing pool was referred to tho ltcservcs Committee for consideration and report. Kcgarding toruo. complaint* of odouTs issuing from tho New Zealand Caudle Company's works. Mr. K. Bull (manager of tho company) attended, and paid that while they wero willing to do what they could to iniuiinisn Iho smoll. if. wus practically impossible to prevent it altogether. They were going to try an American device for minimuing the s-mell.
