IN N-S-W. PARLIAMENT. SEVERAL SPEAKERS WARNED. TWO MEMBERS EJECTED. By Telegraph- Press Association— OopyriEhl (Rcc. November 16, 0.10 a.m.) Sydnoy, November 13. There was a lively scone in the New South Wales Assembly. Mr. M'Gowon, Premier, called attention to the interview Mr. Wade published in tho-papers in regard to Mr. Wade's futile attempt to induco tho House to remove Mr. Wood's suspension, wherein tho words "unfairness of the Sneaker's ruling" was used. Mr. M'Gowon moved that the words bo read.
Amid a eross-firo of interjections Mr. M'Gowen asked Mr. Wade if he had used tho words. Mv. Wado declined to answer. Mr. M'Gowen thon moved that the statement of .Mr. Wado imputing unfairness to tho Speaker was a breach of tho privileges of tho House and a gross libel on tho Speaker There was considerable, uproar, during which several members were warned. Mr. Wade, replying, admitted using tho words, and welcomed tho chanco to say that what occurred in the House tho previous night was tho culmination of a long series of events,
Since the advent of tho Speaker the Opposition had not received fair play. Ho proposed to show that, and when ho fairly and honestly put the facts before tho House ho was insulted by the Speaker. Jfr. Speaker ordered Mr. Wado to confine himself to the facts before the House. Mr. Wade said that if he were allowed to traverse the events of tho past three months he would show good grounds for tho accusation.
Tho debate was prodactivo of warm scenes. Mr. Wade was several times warned. Ho said if the motion was carried tho House must stop there, or face actions for trespass or offences against tho law, which were bound to follow if the Government attempted to exceed tho powers conferred by the statutes.
Mr. Onslow declared tho motion vindictive, and on refusing to withdraw was ejected. Mr. Levy was also removed for using what tho Speaker termed an offensive remark. Tho motion was eventually carried by 36 to 28.
Mr. Wads was absent when the division was taken. The Iloase then proceeded with ordinary-business.
