The new subdivision of 100 sections in this estate (Hataitai) will be offered tomorrow by Messrs. W. H. Turnbull and Co., at their auction rooms, 27 Panama Street at 2.30 p.m. The auctioneers state that the upset prices have been ridden down to bedrock for tho auction sale only, so that buyers will be able to secure land more cheaply than Inter purchasers. The penny tram section from C'ourtenay I'lnco takes residents to Halnitai at least every six or seven minutes. A traffic tunnel through (he hill is now being agitated for, and its claims are being strongly represented to the City Council. Tho Halnitai i!atc]*ayers' Association have arranged for funds to pay for an expert's report on the scheme. There are now over 200 houses on the estate, and a fine bowling green with a croquet lawn for ladies. A tennis club is being established, and residents are also making arrangements for bathing accommodation which will be erected at about three minutes' walk from the block which is to bo sold. All city conveniences are on the estale. Terms nf sale are easy and are advertised in this issue. Tenders for the stock-in-trade, etc., in the bankrupt estate of C. Corbett, hairdresser and tobacconist, Masterton, closo with the Deputy-Official Assignee in that town on November 11. Messrs. Brand and Johnston will conduct a sale of household furnishings and appointments at tho residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fulton, 15.") Wellington Terrace, to-morrow and on Friday. The goods, which include a number of valuable books, arc to be on view this afternoon from 2 to 5. Details are contained in an advertisement.
