FLOCKS DECREASE BY; 273,494. Although the interim sheep returns indicated a decrease of about 500,000, in New Zealand (looks, the revised figures reduce tho deficit to 273,194. The total for tho Dominion i 6 2,1,996,126, of which 12,811,353 are in the North Island, and 11,181,773 in tho South. The falling-off in numbers in the North was 103,309, and in the South 170,185, or a total decrease of 273,491. Of (lie Im counties in tho North Lsland, 3(1 showed increases totalling 316,832, whilst 2.9 showed decreases numbering 120,139. In tho 31 southern counties, 20 show increases amounting to 218,052, while H show decreases numbering 388,237.
