Ninety odd years ago an old man named Henry Page cherishing a dreadful grudge against his near relations, and impelled by an inordinate joy in whetting expectations, died, leaving a will, in which all his property was tied up for ninety years. The property, consisting of enormous commons on tho outskirts of London, was vested in trustees, under conditions which made it inaccessible to eager heirs, until tho expiration of that weary time. The value of tho Pago Estate is now assessed at anything beIween 50 and ISO million pounds sterling, and it yields an income of about two million pounds a year. Some of llio finest residential districts in London havo l>oen erected on tho site of the waste commons, and (he cstalo includes also a suburban nrca. which will increase enormously in value within tho next few years. Harrow is the natural centre of tho estate, which includes practically all the land within a lino drawn from tho Marble Arch up to the Edgcwaro Road,' through Hendon to Elstrco Station, across to the outskirts of Rickraansworlh, thence to n point a few miles south of Uxbridue and back to Hyde Park by Southall, Acton, and Nottiuj Hill. In 1!) OS there were quito a number of claimants, and a Mrs. Simes, of Mitchelltflwn, Wellington, was among the number. George Ilorton Morris, who is to file a statement of claim, has boon a resident of Australia for some time. He. began to prosoculo his claims in 1908.
