The cricket match between tho M.C.C. eleven and tho South Australian representatives was resumed to-day in glorious weather and beforo an attendance of nearly 5000 pe°Pl°- The lvicket was in perfect order. When stumps were drawn on the first ovening, tho Englishmen had lost four wickets for 331 runs. Warner 112 and Foster 3-1, the not-out men, faced the bowling of Whitty and Crawford. Buns came, at the rate of ono per minute. Foster began quietly, but when ho settled down, scored rapidly, with charming wrist strokes, and reached fifty in an hour. Rees and Stirling came on to bowl and the rate of scoring increased, 400 being up for 33G minutes' play. When bis score wa3 in-the eighties, Foster was missed three times—at eighty off a skier behind the wicket-keeper, which Rees misjudged, at 82 at long-on by Mayne, and at 87 at sqaare-leg by Down. Warner had increased his score to 151 in 33 minutes when he was bowled by Backman. He played an extremely sound and watchful game and hit 12 fours.—Five wickets for 435. Foster, when 99, should have been run out. He got his century in 107 minutes. Crawford and Whitty then resumed bowling. Foster was again playing dashing cricket. When his score was 131 ho skied Whitty to' mid-oc, but Crawford lost it in the sun. Douglas was caught and bowled by Crawford with tho score at 495, after batting 50 minutes. At 508 Foster was bowled. Ho hit with great wrist power and made eighteen fours, but was lucky. Ho batted for 162 minutes. At 525 Woolley was smartly caught at short-leg, and seven runs later Vino was caught at point, both off Backman. Strudwick played a lively innings until caught at mid-off. In tho forties, Douglas replaced Foster with the ball. The first fifty occupied an hour. Buns then caino steadily. Vine relieved Barnes at 75. With the score unaltered Crawford was run ont in trying to steal a ran. C. Hill, batting soundly ployed out time with Down, the score then standing at four wickets for 85 runs.
