ACCIDENT AT SANDON. (By tfelesrraph—Press Association.) .l c. j Palmerston, November 9. At handon.yesterday a young man named John Lammas met with a serious ncci dent. He was engaged unyoking a team of horses from a plough when ono of the animals hit out ,and kicked him in the face, breaking his jaw. He had not recovered consciousness this morning, and was in a precarious condition when la*t reported. SEAMAN DROAVNED. m i. Auckland, November 9. Irent Neilsen, a seaman on the barque J-nton, was drowned in the harbour last ?' g V. M as st ?PPins on to his vessel troni the Railway Whart when he slipped and foil into the water. WOMAN FOL'ND DEAD. Auckland, November 7. A woman named Hannah Mays was found dead in bed this morning. An inquest will be necessary.
