In tho third round Hannan scored with left to. tho body and right to tho face; again with a solid left to the ribs and a left hook to tho eye. iracy got in a couple of straight lct'ts, out there was littlo powder in them. Hannans round. In round four Tracy scored with left and right to tho face. A moment later Tracy appealed for a foul—not a clean break—hut tho referco ordered them to fight on. Hannan had tlio best of the exchange which follow-' ed, several swings and hooks landing. Iracy got homo a right or two in closo work, but just as tho round ended Hannan connected with a hard left.' He was now sending tho right to the body and left to the face. Ono of these doubles landed early in the next round, but Tracy began to block them nicely. Hannan got in two lieavv P?i i ? lU i' rnc 5' retaliated with good leits, but there was no force behind them. Another rasping right hook found Tracy's jaw. .Several times, however, Hannan swung heavily, but Tracy ducked well, and avoided. Hannan varied tho proceedings in tho next round by trying ail upper-cut, but missed. Tracy g*:t in a coup o of right upper-cuts, tho second cf winch was a beauty. A left hook found. Tracy's jaw in this round. Tracy showed better form than before, but still hig punches lacked sting. In tlio sixth round Hannan landed hard, but Tracy retaliated with a left upper-eut, and drovo Hannan to tlio ropes. "Tim 5 * continued to duck and block well, and Itannan relaxed his aggressiveness. Tracy got some of the points back in that 'round. I ho next round did not produce any very effective blows, nearly all being blocked or evaded. Tracv was now showing sonio hno footwork. Ho continued to make up points in tho next round, and caused Hannan to break ground, until the Australian got homo a good left, and presently a heavy right cross. A lively rally was stopped by the gong. Hannan began rushing again in tho tenth round, but with no more effect than getting into clinches. Several heavy swings from Haunan only found the air, but a couple of body Mows landed. There was not much in this round, but Tracy was showing more signs of fatigno than Hannan, who was still ahead on points. Haunan got in a left cross, and then a straight left for onco in a while to the jaw. Another left cross got homo on Tracy's jaw. The Wellington mail's arms wero showing tho effect of blocking Hannnn's gingery punches. A wild rush by Hannan, dodged bv Tracy, sent Hannan to tho floor, and " rim" gallantly helpwl him up again. Thero was not much in this round. Hannan was evidently awaiting an opportunity for a knock-out. Early in tho thirteenth Hannan scored with right and then left hooks to tho jaw. Tracy got in a couple of lefts and evaded Hannan's next few rushes very cleverly. Tho last two rounds wcrp good ones. Tracy improved considerably, while Hannan show, cd that his many misses had sapped his energy. Tracy scored early in tho fourteenth with a couple of good blows left and right to tho jaw. Hannau's effort to connect with a right uppor-c«t. missed badly, "Tim" getting out of tho way well. Coming back, "Tim" scored more points with left and right swings. Tracy's clever footwork and his blocking wero beating Hannan, and the points wero coming round to the Wellington man, who was also becoming more aggressive. In the last round Tracy scored first with that straight left of his. Hannan rushed and strove desperately for & knock-out, poking out his left as a draw, and swinging, hooking, and upper-cutting vigorously with his right, but "Tim still back-moved, ducked, and blocked. A hot exchange ended in Tracy driving Hannan back. The Australian got in a right hook, but it was partly checked, and Tracy replied with two pood rights. Ilannan kept rushing, but without success. The verdict, Tracy wins, was well received.
