KETCH TURNS TURTLE.
ORDEAL FOR THOSE ON BOARD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Nelson, November 9. The kctch Matakana cjtjtizcd during a squall oif liiwako. this morning. A north-west wind was blowing, and this veered to the south-west with such suddenness that nothing could bo done to avert tbo accident. The men on board —Tregidga, Master, .and M'Nab—bad a narrow escape, clinging to tho keel for two hours, with the waves breaking over them. Later tho dinghy, which sank when the ketch capsized, camo to tho surface, and they were able to 6«cure it. It was broken and leaking badly, but they managed to effect rough repairs with articles of clothing, and, using two planks for paddles, they managed to rech Motucka. _ A search for the ketch proved unavailing.
