SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Prosent indications aro for rain in parts of the country, with cloudy and misty weather. Tho barometer will probably fall everywhere fast in the north, but rise in the south, after about twenty hours. Northerly and westerly winds, strong to gale, are probable in. the north, and westerlies veering to southerly after from 16 to 20 hours in the south, with colder weather following. Westerly winds, strong to galo, have prevailed everywhere, and warm and cloudy weather has prevailed, with rain, in pans. Heavy thundorstorms have occurred to-day about Cook Strait-early on the southern side and later on tho northern side. The barometer has fallen everywhere. D. O. DATES. Meteorological Office. Otaki. November 9—lleavy downpour of rain, with thunder and lightning. Shannon, November 9— ljiero _ was n heavy thunderstorm this morning, ana torrential rain fell. '
