The balance-slieet. of the Mosgiel Woollen Factory Co., Ltd., for the year ended October 6 shows that after writing off £3000 for depreciation, the net profit for the year is £5466 Is. Bd.; adding to this £1344 3s. 9d., the amount brought forward from the previous year, there is av.iilablo a sum of £6810 ss. sd. The directors recommend a, dividend of 6 per cent., which will absorb the sum of £SCC7 95., leaving £1802 16s. sd. to be carried forward. The gross profit on goods account was £19,392 Bs. Id., and transfer fees and the amount brought forward made the total revenue £20,739 9s. The working expenses charges, salaries, and other outgoings absorbed £10,923 3s. lid., and £3GCO was written off for depreciation, leaving a credit balance of' £6310 ss. sd.
