She resented the innovation, and, weariiiff man's attire, worked for twelve months after the Act became operative, when she was stepped by theGovernment inspector. She was vor\ proud of having circumvented Uu- authorities tor a time. While following her work in the pit she sustained several injuries, including three arm breakages.
