FOR THE HOSPITAL, In order to enable certain improvements and additions to be made to tho Wellington Hospital, the members of tho Orphans' Club recently decided to givo a concert in the Town Hall on November 21, and endeavour, if possible, to augment the amount collected on Hospital Saturday and Sunday. With a view of assisting the Orphans' Club, a ladies' committeo was formed, and this committee held a meetin" at the Charitable Aid Board's offices, Marion Street, last evening. Miss M. Kichmond presided. It was stated that all arrangements in connection with the concert wero well in hand, and that everything points to the evening being a success. The late train to the Hutt will be delayed until 11 p.m. on the evening in question. The box plan will open at the Dresden on November 20. Tho programmo is now being prepared, and will appear in a few days. Efforts are being mado to sccurc the use of the Town Hall freo of charge. The furniture will be on view on Thursday afternoon and on tho morning of the sale. The Highland regiment, tho Black Watch, has been iu existence nearly two centuries.
