Tho Victoria Racing Club's meeting will b? continued at Flemington to-day, when the Melbourne ' Cup, a handicap sweepstake of 30 sovs. each, with 7000 sovs. added, 2 miles, will be decided. A cablegram received in Wellington yesterday staled that I'ralalgar, who started favourite in last year's race and finished second, is again a strong- favourite, three [joints ahead of Tue Parisian, who is second in demand.
