The "News" publishes an articlo and editorial comment thereon regarding a split ot' the local Labour party over tlio candidature, of Mr. I'arrant as Labour's representative at tlio general election. Tho paper in question hints at the jealousy of another Labour man' who was not chosen. It has been an open secret 1 for some time that Mr. Warrant has not united Labour behind him, and lie has already been publicly, twitted with lack of understanding of tho platform of the Labour party.
