The meeting passed a resolution in favour of rapproehemejit between Germany and Britain, and the holding of an Anglo-German Exhibition in London in 1913. A special committee to promoto the Exhibition was formed. Lord Weardale, Sir Frank Lascellos, Mr. Noel Buxton, M.P., and Lord Courtney were union;,' the speakers at the meeting. (llec. November 5, 8.25 p.m.) London, November 5. Sir George Reid, the Australian High Commissioner, approves of the Anglo-Ger-man Exhibition as a practical means of promoting peace. Berlin, November 4. The "Tageblatt" states that the proposal is ill-timed anil doubtful, and.remarks that the unofficial press regarded Mr. Lloyd-George's recent bellicose speech at a critical juncture as a warning to Germany. Other, newspapers are equally averse.
