QUITE AN EXAMPLE.
It would be well if all ladies who givo articles for sale at,bazaars flowed Queen Mary's example. Iri aid of Crathie Church a bazaar was held recently in the grounds of Balmoral Casilo, the marquees being erected upon the Royal golf course. The sacred putting greens wero protected from injury by spccial palings. The Queen did not send any knitted jackets, or penwipers, or handkerchief sachets, or tho usual abominations. Sho did nothing of tho kind. Thero was a choice pieco of lace from her unrivalled collection, somo water-coloured drawings—not by her own hand—an indian tea-basket, two charming ivory miniatures of London scenery, a fen children's books, and several welcome photographs of herself. Tho only piece of work which seemed to bear what may be^called tho bazaar stamp;was an exquisite bag. for holding an opera-glass.
