NEW SOUTH WALES BUDGET
SIX MILLION INCREASE IN TRADE

Tho Stato Budget was delivered in tho Assembly by Air. JU'Gowen, Premier and Treasurer, this evening.
Tho chief feature was the proposed new taxation, whereby the Government expects to receive <£200,000 from probate and stamp duties, and £775,000 from tho inoomo tax.
Tho total revenue last year was .£13,882,485, which is .£475,221 in excess of the estimate. The expenditure was <£14,470,087, or ,£109,000 in excess cf the estimate.
Tho year opened with a credit of .£989,■ 700, and closed with a crefit of <£401,505.
The debt totals .£95,523,915, the increase for tho year being <£2,995,830.
The railways and tramways earned at tho rate of XI 10s. 3Jd. per cent., the surplus, after paying expenses and interest, being ,£601,G25.
The total trade of the State was .£BO,000,000, an increase of .£6,000,000 on the previous year. The total production was <£02,812,000. Tho wheat yield totalled 28 million bushels.
The estimated revenue for the current year, including new taxation, is <£15,84G,085, and the expenditure <£15,822,814.
