A MARKED INCREASE. By Teleeraph—Press Association—Copyright Ottawa, October 29. Thero has been a marked increase in the consumption of liquor and tobacco in Canada. Tho per capita consumption of spirits last year was .815 of a gallon. It was increased this year to .859 of a gallon. The total quantity of tobacco consumed was 18,900,000 pounds, against 17,800,000 pounds last year.
