MORRIS-TUBE.
GAS COMPANY'S SMOKE CONCERT. Members of the Wellington Gas Company's Morris-tubo Club foregathered at the Tiffin Tea Rooms on Friday night, when a pleasant time was spent in song and speeches. The captain of the club (Jlr. Chirnside) was in the chair, and among those present were Messrs. llclliwell (secretary of tho Gas Company), Dougall (engineer), and Kershaw (head of the meter department). A number of capital items wero rendered by the Gas Company's orchestra. During the evening the prizes won during the year were presented. The following were the recipients:—Champion, Jlr. Collins. Champion handicap. Jlr. Collins. No. 1 competition, A class, Jlr. Dodgson; B class, Jfr. Coliins; C class. Jlr. Densem. No. 2 competition, A class, Jlr. Banks; B class, Jlr. Glennie. No. 3 competition, A class, Jlr. Dodgson; 11 class, Jlr. Eniden. No. 4 competition, A class, Jlr. Smallbone; B class, Jlr. 'Densem. No. 5 competitiou, A class, Jlr. Aston; B class, Jlr. l'ryce. No. G competition, A class, first Jlr. Chirnside, second Jlr. Smallbone, third Mr. Collins; B, first Jlr. Chant, second Jlr. Williams. Consolation handicap, A class, Jlr. Topp; B class, Jlr. Naglc. Shield match, Jlr. Collins. Club trophy, Mr. Aston.
