SHEEP AND PIG CLASSES. Tho classes for sheep at this year's Egmont show at Hmrcra promise- to be well contested. In the purebred classes, Messrs. iicmiefct am! Stilton'.', trophy ivill bo again competed for, for most points, to be v.on three times before becoming tho property of the exhibitor. Mr. 'W. 11. Wybourne, Wlienuakuia, is the present holder of the cup. This show has a name for its "Tat sheen and freezers" classes. Messrs. Levin and Company's silver cup is a points prize for those classes, to be won twice in succession or three times at intervals, Mr. Hugh Mkklleton, of Waverley, being the present holder. The most attractive class of j all is the one for five lambs (long or I short wool), in which thore were I') | entries last year. In this section the exhibits receiving first, second, and third awards ara killed for export one! sent to London, so that they can ho reported on there. Tho prize-money is £.1 7s. for first, £3 3s. second, arid .£1 1.-. third. Pigs shown at Hawera are of tho highest quality. Xew pis pens have bcsu built this year on quite a new style, and they aro probably tho finest show pens in the Dominion. Championship J prizes aro offered for tho Berkshire boar j and sow.
