Hannah Brown, convicted as an idle anil disorderly person, was sentenced to tlirco months' imprisonment. A similar charge was preferred against Eliza Buckniaster, alias Sylvester, who was given a chance to reform her methods of living. She was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. INSOBRIETY. John Laurenson, for haying committed a breach of his prohibition order, was 'convicted and lined 405., with tho option of seven days' imprisonment. On a charge of having been found drunk ho was convicted and discharged. Two first-offending inebriates were convicted and discharged. UNDEFENDED DEBT CASES. Cleave and Co. and tho "New Zealand Times" Company versus E. L. Hornett, claims for «£ls p s and J:K 10s. Gd. respectively, defendant was ordered to pay the amounts on or before November 2, in default 11 davs' imprisonment.
