Stimson, Secretary of State for War, and Major-General Wood, Chief of Staff of the Army, havo returned from an inspection of tho army posh along the Mexican frontier. They recommend tho abandonment of the small army forts in tho southern part of the United States. Tho troops ordered to tho Mexican border lost year havo now been ordered home.
