SPORTS PROTECTION LEAGUE.
The Hoard of Control of the New Zealand Sports Protection League and the liencral Secretary (Air. A. A. Paape) have been busy during tho past week completing; the preliminary work, and are now about to proceed with a vigorous policy of organisation throughout the Dominion. Sir. l'aapo left for Christcluirch on Holiday by tho Maori, and will be in Timaru on October "5 Oamaru October 2fi, Dunedin Oclofcer 21, Gore Octol>er !2S, Invcrcargill October 110, and will return to Wellington on November 1. The tour is being made with tho object of securing competent provincial in Otago and Southland. 'fho first general meeting of members and representatives of sports bodies to i'orm the Wellington Provincial Centre, will bo held at llossrs. W. CJ, Turiibull's rooms, Panama Street, on Wednesday, November 1.
