TEN THOUSAND LETTERS RETURNED. By Telegraph—PrcßS Association—Copyright (Rcc. October 25, 9.50 p.m.) Sydney, October 25. Tho Tasmanian mail to-day brought ton thousand, letters, returned from tho Commercial Bank of Tasmania. This ia tho result of a promise made by tho bank to return letters connected with Tattorsall's sweep. Tho promiso was mado in order to have the postal prohibition mado against tho bank by tho Commonwealth Government removed. Many more letters are expected to follow tho first consignment owing to tho largo business through tho approach of tho Melbourne Cup. Tho New South Wales postal authorities will readdress tho lettera to their senders and deliver thoni without charging postage or registration fees. Registration will bo effected on letters containing mora than five shillings. HUGE STOPPAGE OF LETTERS,. (Roc. October 20, 1.25 a.m.) Melbourne, October 25. Five thousand letters addressed to the Commercial Bank of Tasmania have been returned bore. It is stated that during the fivo days of the prohibition a hundred thousand letters wero stopped,
