Each year tho Egmont Agricultural : and Pastoral Association ' is confrontedwith additions to the buildings and nppointnients on their showgrounds at ' lluwera, and this year is no exception to tho rule. Men are busy en the grounds now, and are rapidly pushing on newwork'. A wholo row of tho old cattlepens has boon pulled down, . and now pons aro being put up at the northern end. In the placo of the old pig-pens new ones are being built in a new position, and, when completed will probably bo the best show-pens, in the Dominion. All liew pens to bo built now are being carried out according,to a plan decided on sonio time ago, and in a few years' time, when these alterations are finally carried'out, the grounds will be completely altered, and will offer splendid facilities for a showground. In the plaeo of the old cattle-pens, two judging-rings will bo made, so that the public may hnvo every opportunity of watching the adjudications in-tho various classes. A similar ring will.be made for sheep. A permanent pavilion for dogs is now being built. Electric light Iwjill bo installed in this pavilion, and- ■ also the produco shed, and with several niglitwatchruon exhibitors can havo every confidence iu the safety of their exhibits. In the main ring a gnod deal'of turfing has been done for the bettor running in the harness classes. Schedules for the approaching show on November 8 and 1) aro being freely applied for, and aro still obtainable from the secretary (Mr. F. G. Trcweek), Ilawcra. Factory Managers aro Lnvited to drop a post-card for particulars of cheese va:s and lioops, the best made, Victor brand, to Albert -J. Parlon, C.irtorlou. Do it now. .
