The M to Z Petitions Committee recommended to tho favourable consideration of the Government tho petition of William Macdonald, of Hannevirko. praying for pension or grant of monoy i'or military services. The petitioner was unable, by reastm of physical disabilities, to appear ■before the Stipendiary Magistrate who investigated tho claims. The A to Z Petitions Committee, in a report presented to tho llouso yesterday, recommended to the favourablo consideration of the Government the petition of Xorman St. C. Hales, of Wellington, proving for tho introduction of legislation to enahlo him to register under the iientists Act, IDOB. Mr. Wilford stated that a brother of tho petitioner had been allowed to register, though he had undergone practically tho same training.
