« RESTRICTIONS ON LARGE HOLDERS. By Tclccraph-l'ress Association—Copyriuht Sydney, October 18. Tho Minister for Labour, Mr. Carmichael, speaking at West Maitland, declared that the Government was going'to mako it harder for men to hold land without using it'. The largo landholders would be subjected to all sorts of restrictions and imposition of taxes in order to compel them to open up land for settlement.
