Fitzgerald is again seeking favour with tho Suburbs electors, but beforo ho can lay claim to a unanimous vote I think he should explain his conduct just after the last poll. It will be remembered that the district went "dry," tho votes being: Por License, 211-3; and' for No-License, 4331. Well, as is usually the case, tho liquor trade at once set to work by means of the LawCourts to undo tho deliberate vote of the people, and one who signed his name to a petition to mako this scheme possible \yas Mr. J. E. Fitzgerald, the would-be representative ot this Xo-Liccnse electorate.—l am, etc., OBSERVER.
