Mr. William Abraham ("Mabon"), Labour M.r. for Rhondda Valley, Glamorgan, strongly warns tho extremists iu tho Miners' Federation against precipitating a national stoppage of work for a minimum wage. AUSTRALIAN TELEGRAPHISTS. Sydney, October 14. Tho Federal Postmaster-General (Mr. Thomas) has arranged to meet tho telegraphists on Monday and discuss their troubles. THE STRIKE AT LITHGOW. Sydney, October 14. Strike affairs at Lithgow are at a standstill. Ample funds aro being received for the strikers. . THE MOUNT LYELL DISPUTE. Melbourno, October 14. The Mount Lyoll Company has been notified that tho engine-drivers will be called out to-day unless their demands aro conceded. This would mean the shutting down of the mine. (Rec. October 16, 1 a.m.) Melbourne, Octobcr 15. The Mount Lyell engine-drivers did not come out on Saturday as expected. They are awaiting the result of a socret ballot of miners, who aro divided as to tho expediency of calling the men out.
