Mr. Morgan Sinister, tho American official who was appointed TreasurerGeneral of Persia some months ago, after notifying tho Russian Minister, sent a hundred gendarmes, in command of an American officer, to seize the property of Bhua-es-Sultaneh, one of the ex-Shah's brothers, who aided tho revolt. The Russian Cossacks, who had previously prevented tho seizure, then retired. The Russian Consul has protested, alleging that the property was mortgaged to tho Russian Bank.
